How to Wear the Victorian Style Blouse

I have always been a little bit scared of these kinds of tops, but with my whole culottes phase, I am feeling embracing things that usually I would steer clear of. I feel like this style top is something that can be a bit tricky for anyone who isn’t Alexa Chung. High neck tops, on me especially, can sometimes look tres frumpy, so in an attempt to combat the frump I went for a mini skirt to show off some leg. And a leather one at that because I laaaaave it!

Top - Zara
Skirt - Primark
Boots - Truffle Collection

I also went for a berry lip because 1. its winter now and you've got to love those berry tones and 2. I felt like it added a lil' something to the monochrome outfit.

I am really loving this top and just this whole outfit really but I am also thinking about styling it up under a pinafore/slip dress as that neckline and the sheer sleeves will just work soooooo well! Follow me on insta because an update of that outfit will be sure to appear soon!

What do you think of the skirt and blouse combo?
How would you style it?
